Mahogany Bay is one of Roatan’s two cruise ship ports. It is located in Dixon Cove on Roatan’s south shore about midway between Coxen Hole and French Harbour. Spread over 20 acres it includes dock space for two cruise ships, a town center with numerous retail and dining outlets, and a private beach.
Mahogany Bay is owned and operated by Carnival Corporation. All Carnival brand ships will dock at Mahogany Bay including Carnival, Princess, Holland America, Regent Seven Seas and Oceania. In addition Mahogany Bay will host ships from Costa Cruises, Thomson Cruises and P&O Cruises.
Cruise ship passengers disembarking at Mahogany Bay are presented with many options for exploring Roatan but also could be very tempted to spend their day within the confines of the Port. Mahogany Bay town center offers choices for dining, shopping and relaxing.
From the town center passengers can take the chair lift down to a private beach with high-end facilities such as fully equipped beach cabanas, luxurious sun lounges, floating platforms and waiters to ensure a constant supply of food and beverages to your deck chair. The lagoon inside Dixon Cove is like a swimming pool and the Roatan’s pristine coral reef is readily accessible for exploring with snorkel gear.
Mahogany Bay is not open to the public. The Roatan Executive Realty office is located inside of Mahogany Bay and clients are able to visit our office if they let the gate employees know that they are visiting their Roatan real estate team. Cruise ship passengers must leave the port on foot and proceed to the transport area for transfer to other areas of the island.
