Jocely Garcia is an owner, broker and Realtor on the island of Roatan. After attending the Gold Coast School of Real Estate in the USA, she dedicated herself to her new business on the island and opened Roatan Executive Realty in 2010.
Being a native islander, Jocely grew up surrounded by family with a strong work ethic and has a deep understanding of the island and its communities. Her father owned the only Dry Dock on the Island while she was growing up and her mother owned a beauty salon, but also worked as the office manager at the dry dock. Jocely brings this energy and work ethic to Roatan Executive Realty, its sales team and clients.
Over the years, Jocely has garnered an impressive list of accomplishments and experiences in various industries. She has worked in retail, service industries, business administration, tourism as well as the food and beverage sectors. She also currently owns a restaurant in Dixon Cove on the beach.
Born and raised on Roatan, Jocely left the island at the age of 15 to attend and high school in Key West, Florida. After graduation she moved to Boca Raton and graduated from Palm Beach State College with a degree in Business Administration and Management. Jocely moved back to Roatan in 2003, where she is currently raising her two daughters.
Erica James is one of the initial team members of Roatan Executive Realty and has been with the organization since its inception in 2010. She believes in building long-lasting relationships by providing personalized services to all her clients. Whether Erica is selling, listing or working with first time buyers, she is known for her unparalleled product knowledge, work ethic and loyalty to her clients which has helped build her stellar reputation, repeat business and referrals.
In January of 2019, Erica was elected to the Board of Directors for the Roatan Realtor’s Association.
Being born and raised on the island of Roatan, Erica has an impressive knowledge of the island, its people and cultures. Erica and her husband of 19 years are raising their two children.
After a successful career in the hospitality industry, Suyapa Ocampo joined Roatan Executive Realty last year as an Office Assistant and has just recently become a licensed realtor in Honduras. Suyapa brings a desire to help people discover the beautiful Bay Islands of Honduras and ultimately their dream home in the sun.
Suyapa studied Marketing at the University of San Pedro Sula and after graduation decided to visit Roatan. She instantly fell in love with the island’s rich culture, its people and amazing paradise vibe. For approximately ten years, she worked as a Hotel and Restaurant Manager, working her way up into management and customer service skills. Having that entrepreneur spirit, Suyapa changed careers and started her own tour and transportation company which has been successfully in operation for the past few years.
Suyapa was born and raised in San Pedro Sula on the mainland of Honduras. She has always enjoyed an active lifestyle including fishing, boxing, and a love of travelling.

Client Testimonial
Ms. Jocely and her team define the standard. They ARE the bar!
The key to RER’s success is the team’s flexibility. They want to say ‘Yes’ and they marshal their considerable resources to make everyone a winner. This takes diplomacy, understanding all points of view, and the desire to make sure everyone leaves the table better for it.
It’s one thing to say Ms. Garcia sensed and addressed my needs. In truth, she exceeded them every single time. I was often taken by surprise by how she internalized what she perceived I was seeking and then created the shortest path to achieve it.
Also, I want communication. I am far away and cannot see what is happening. Ms. Jocely kept me informed by all media possible. She took the initiative to communicate. I am so grateful that she understood the potential worry of a remote client.
Not only does she know everyone, they return her calls and they offer their services at very reasonable prices!
I was definitely not a transaction! I am a customer for life! I cannot wait to share my experience with other buyers and sellers! This is a first for me!
